Breast
Reduction Many women and men across the country, suffer from very large, heavy and uncomfortable breasts. This condition is referred to as "macromastia" in women and as "gynecomastia" in men. At the Dallas Fort Worth Institute of Body Sculpturing, Dr. Walter Dobson offers "Suction Assisted Lipectomy", "SAL" for breast reductions. Who is a candidate for SAL breast reduction? A good candidate for a suction assisted lipectomy breast reduction is a woman who has large breasts that consist primarily of fatty tissue. Some breasts are composed almost entirely of fat, with very little real breast tissue. Women with this type of breast are generally very good candidates for SAL. The amount of reduction that can be accomplished with SAL varies with the proportion of fatty tissue to breast tissue, the degree of fibrous tissue, and the patient's desire regarding size. Advantages of suction assisted lipectomy Utilizing "tumescent liposuction", Dr. Dobson is able to reduce the size of the breast by up to 50% and reshape the contour of large breasts. Whereas, the conventional breast reduction may result in an unsatisfactory shape, inadequate removal of tissue or too much tissue and unsightly scars, SAL breast reduction provides a lower risk of complications, a higher level of patient satisfaction, and a quick return to normal activities. Significant volume reduction is possible. Unlike conventional surgery, there is minimal (if any) scarring. Usually four puncture sites along the breast crease are made to instill the tumescent fluid and to aspirate the fatty tissue. Nipple sensation is preserved, and it usually does not interfere with future breast feeding. Our patients benefit by experiencing better results, fewer complications, financial savings, and a quick recovery with virtually no disfiguring scars on the breast! Expectations Realistic expectations are the key to success. Why are you here?
